Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Must be at least 16 years of age with CPR certification and current certification as a Lifeguard by a recognized source of training.
• The ability to apply react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
• Skill in the application of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques.
• The ability to perform CPR and emergency medical procedures.
• Basic computer skills including the knowledge of how to recognize and operate a mouse and keyboard.
• The ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
• The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write simple correspondence, as well as effectively present information in one on one and small group situations.
• The ability to walk the property frequently while being exposed to outside weather conditions.
• The ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, reach overhead, lift, carry, and push as business dictates.
• The ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Maintaining constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of
• patrons in the event of an emergency.
• Providing emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services.
• Presenting a professional appearance and attitude at all times and maintaining a high standard of customer service.
• Performing various maintenance duties as directed to maintain a clean and safe facility.
• Preparing and maintaining appropriate activity reports.
• Performing miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
• Having thorough knowledge of all Brookside policies and procedures, as well as community-specific policies.
• Ensuring operation within OSHA and EPA standards, as well as following all Fair Housing regulations.
• Reporting any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the residents or the property.
