THE POSITION

The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is currently seeking a dedicated and dependable Custodial Worker 1 for Ohiopyle State Park. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker 1, your main duties will involve maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of park buildings and surrounding areas. This will include tasks such as cleaning and restocking restrooms, offices, overnight facilities, the swimming pool area, and other structures. You will be responsible for disinfecting and cleaning toilets, sinks, showers, floors, and walls in restrooms, bathhouses, and cabins. Additionally, you will be tasked with scrubbing, dusting, and polishing floors, furniture, and fixtures in park buildings. Other responsibilities include replenishing restroom supplies, disposing of wastepaper, emptying garbage cans, replacing garbage bags, disposing of garbage in dumpsters, and utilizing a pickup truck or utility vehicle to transport cleaning equipment throughout the park.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Seasonal Full-time employment without benefits.
  • Shift hours and days vary due to operational need, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Weekends, holidays and all shifts as needed at 37.5 hours per week.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
