Salary: $45,000 - $56,000/yr

** Hand In Hand is currently anticipating to accept applications through 04/05/24. Interviews will be scheduled the week of 04/08/24.**

** Offering a $1,500 Sign On Bonus after 6 months of employment and up to $9,200 in annual bonuses from the Iowa Wage$ program.**

This position will also be eligible for the Iowa T.E.A.C.H. scholarship program. The program supports continued education and allows participants to earn a raise or bonus after completing a year of education! Details and availability vary based on provider and funding. No Scholarship is guaranteed.

Are you passionate about creating inclusive environments for children of all abilities? Hand in Hand is seeking a dedicated Director to oversee and manage our Licensed Childcare Programs at two locations: Tessa's Place in Bettendorf and Edwards Church in Davenport.

Our Mission: Hand in Hand empowers children and adults of all abilities to learn and grow by providing inclusive programs and supporting families.

Your Role: Hand In Hand's Licensed Care program at Tessa's Place offers full-day, year-round childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 18 years, including a classroom for Iowa's statewide voluntary preschool program. Licensed Care at Edwards Church provides after and out-of-school care.

As the Director of Licensed Childcare, you will be responsible for ensuring high-quality, inclusive programming that meets the diverse needs of children and families in both locations. Your duties will include:

- Overseeing curriculum development (Creative Curriculum, Gold)

- Managing and leading staff

- Ensuring regulatory compliance with Iowa state licensing, CARF accreditation, HCBS requirements, Iowa's childcare quality program (IQ4K), as well as Hand in Hand standards

- Creating a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children

- Fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity

What You Bring:

Requirements:

Education and/or Experience

Required: High School Diploma or GED. At least two years' full-time paid employment in the field of early care and education. Experience with supervision and management.

Work experience should include supervision of multiple employees, planning, development and delivery of human services, employee relations, managing a budget and working within a team environment.
