WHAT YOU'LL DO:

As a part of the Technical Support Department at BerkOne, the Cyber Security Technician will play a crucial role in safeguarding our assets and users by providing technical support in cybersecurity across the company. This role involves monitoring network activities, analyzing threats, and troubleshooting security issues to enhance security protocols and processes.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Troubleshoot network performance and security issues, as well as monitor firewall and security logs to identify threats, anomalies, and intrusions.
• Participate in incident response, computer forensics, and data investigations and escalate issues to Cyber Security team.
• Collaborate, provide support, and work closely with several internal teams (IT, auditing, management, etc.) to ensure cyber security processes and regulations are met, and maintain documentation of said processes.
• Facilitate penetration tests, social engineering tests, and security tabletop events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

LOCATION + SCHEDULE

• Hybrid Opportunity: Work from home, but due to job responsibilities, must come on-site in our Bethlehem, PA office as needed.
  • Training will take place on-site, every day for the initial training period (~6 weeks).
• Full-time Position: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to cybersecurity challenges. The Cyber Security Technician will meet challenges with resourcefulness, be conscientious, thorough, and open to learning and implementing new technologies and best practices.

• Bachelors (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school.
• Minimum 2 - 4 years related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in network administration is helpful, but not required.
• Working knowledge and experience with the following systems (or comparable tools):
  • Qualys
  • BitWarden
  • Varonis
  • MS Defender
  • SIEM Tools
