Physician Assistant Elkin NC Job Description:


Piedmont Ear Nose and Throat Associates (PENTA) is the premier physician-owned ENT practice in the region. The services offered include general adult and pediatric medical and surgical otolaryngology, audiological services including hearing aid sales and service, allergy testing and treatment. We are seeking a confident, capable and hard-working candidate to join our practice for our office in Elkin, NC. This provider will practice with significant autonomy and decision-making capabilities in a supportive environment designed to foster and promote growth.


Physician Assistant Elkin NC Responsibilities:

  • This provider will perform full spectrum ENT medical care, including but not limited to, obtaining a medical history, performing complete head and neck examination, prescribing and refilling medications, creating treatment plans, ordering appropriate imaging/laboratory studies, and interpreting these.
  • This provider will have significant autonomy in providing patient care, as well as creating and administering a specific treatment plan.
  • This provider will establish rapport with patients and create a respectful, comfortable, and welcoming patient environment.
  • This provider will perform office procedures depending on individual experience, capabilities, and confidence. Procedures may include transnasal flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, binocular microscopic ear procedures, biopsies, and more.
  • This provider will prepare and update patient records through our EHR system and do so promptly.
  • This provider may be required to perform other duties appropriate for his or her level of training as assigned.

Requirements:


Physician Assistant Elkin NC Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program.
  • Possess a valid PA license in the applicable jurisdiction.
  • Certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs
  • Excellent patient care skills and awareness of the legal implications of work and words in healthcare.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
  • Confidence to work independently.
  • Willingness to take over existing patients as well as take on new patients.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with a physician assistant such as standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, and twisting. Occasionally help to transfer a patient. Work may occasionally involve irregular working hours
