Job Summary The Loch Harbour Group is seeking an experienced Gunnery Instructor to provide resident training and instruction to students attending Field Artillery Basic Officer Leader Course (FABOLC). The Instructor will conduct academic instruction, provide input for updates/training to the Program of Instruction (POI); and maintain and update lesson plans in support of the FABOLC, CCC, WOBC and WOAC courses. The full spectrum of training includes, but not limited to, classroom, hands-on, simulation/virtual, field environment and exercises, combat scenario driven, and live fire in a realistic and safe environment. Training requirements shall be for resident and non-resident training courses and in support of Mobile Training Teams (MTTs). Job Duties Follow the Government provided Program of Instruction (POI) and prepare to teach to standard the contents of each POI. To include ensuring class begins and ends on time IAW the government approved schedule Evaluate students on their assigned subject matter under field, simulated, and classroom conditions Instructors/operators shall coordinate with the Lead Instructor/COR for review and approval of all training sessions Administer examinations, evaluate test results, correlate test results of the students ability Provide recommendations to academic deficiency panels on changes and student status. Analyze individual and class academic duty performance Provide recommendations for improvement to the COR concerning course materials, methods of instruction, and performance evaluation when requested Assist in preparation, set-up, and tear-down of necessary equipment, including vehicles prior to and at the conclusion of daily operations Perform limited emergency repairs such as changing tires, fuse replacements, etc. Repairs are performed at the discretion and abilities of the operator, based on established procedures and the extent of repair needed Clean vehicles and equipment when returning from field training, utilizing wash racks and pressure washing facilities Ensure that loading/unloading and operation of military equipment/system vehicles is done safely to include cargo (e.g., supplies, materials) and military personnel are appropriately protected using IAW established guidelines, rules, SOPs, and regulations Certify on four (4) Academic blocks consisting of 30 blocks of instruction Requirements Minimum Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of Field Artillery Experience or an Associate's degree with a minimum of 8 years of Field Artillery Experience from an accredited college or university. Minimum five (5) years of Field Artillery experience and served in one of the following assignments within the U.S. Army or USMC; Battery/Battalion Fire Direction Officer/NCO (FDO) on the M777A1 or M119A2 weapons systems and their upgraded versions Master Resiliency Training (MRT) if applicable Previous instructor qualification or ArmyU (University) equivalent Phase I foundational course or be able to attend the Common Faculty Development Program – Instructor Course (CFD-IC) course Battery/Battalion Fire Direction Officer/NCO (FDO) on the M777A1 or M119A2 weapons systems and their upgraded versions Proof of experience to be can be from any or a combination of the following:DD Form 214 Officer Records Brief (ORB)/Enlisted Record Brief (ERB) Officer Evaluation Report (OER)/NCO Evaluation Report (NCOER) ATRRS Graduate from MOS producing course DA Form 1059 Certificate of Training
