Medical/Surgical Licensed Practical Nurse

A reputable healthcare system that borders beautiful Lake Ontario is searching for Licensed Practical Nurses for its Medical/Surgical Unit. In this role, you will assist in planning, providing, and evaluating patient care. You will collaborate in developing nursing care plans and observe patients for reactions to drugs, treatments, signs, and symptoms and immediately report it to the Charge Nurse. Record all patient care provided in a precise and detailed manner. Administer medications to patients as needed/directed. Assists patients in ambulation and transports patients. Promptly answers patient call lights. Follow the principles of asepsis and infection control when performing patient care and for routine cleaning and sterilization of equipment and supplies. Regularly communicate with physicians, nurses, and other patient care team members. Qualifications: Active PN license. 6+ months of LPN experience is preferred. Additional info: Full-time, permanent position Schedule; 3x12 Two shifts available; 7a-7p and 7p-7a Pay: $24-27/hr., depending on experience, + differentials. $7,500 sign-on bonus!
