Line Cook at Spiral Diner & Bakery, Fort Worth

The Restaurant: Spiral Diner is a full-service diner and bakery, specializing in vegan comfort food made without animal ingredients (so no meat, eggs, or dairy to deal with!). We are hiring for multiple positions and offer cross-training for those who may have previous experience in BOH or FOH but want to learn new skills. This posting is for a line cook but if you are interested in other BOH or FOH positions please don’t hesitate to reach out.

The Positions: The line cook is responsible for grilling, sautéing, and assembling food per order. They must maintain a clean, sanitary work environment as well as ensure high quality and proper presentation of all plates. There is the potential for driver training (essentially a line lead or expo/expeditor) if you have previous line cook experience.

The Hours: Part-time and full-time hours available. We require a minimum of 2 shifts a week, and weekends (at least one shift Saturday or Sunday) are required. We are open 10AM-10PM Tuesday-Sundays. Shift times vary but AM shifts are generally around 8:30-4 or 10-4, and PM shifts are 4-10 or 4-close. We can discuss your availability and what shift would work for you during an interview.

Qualifications:

*      Must be able to work positively in a fast-paced and often hot and damp environment.

*      Must be able to work on your feet and remain alert for extended periods of time.

*      Must be able to work effectively within a team.

*      Must be able to work continuously using hands and arms

*      Must be able to work continuously while bending, reaching and twisting.

*      Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds throughout the shift

Required Certifications: Assistance obtaining these will be provided once hired if needed.
