ABOUT THE POSITION

Hawaii Preparatory Academy seeks a dynamic, visionary, and experienced educator to serve as Middle School Principal. The successful candidate will lead with integrity, compassion, and a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and innovation. As Middle School Principal, you will be responsible for providing instructional leadership for faculty, managing day-to-day operations of the division, and cultivating a positive and supportive learning environment for approximately 110 students in grades six through eight.

This position begins July 1, 2024, reporting directly to the Head of School.

All responsibilities within the position should align with HPA's mission and reflect our core values of Integrity, Respect, Pursuit of Excellence, and Wonder.

The Middle School Principal works collaboratively with the Lower School Principal to provide leadership for the K-8 Village Campus. This position is also an integral part of the K-12 senior administrative team that oversees all educational activities at the school. As a champion of HPA's mission, vision, and values, this role will help guide important conversations around campus master planning and strategic planning initiatives.

Applicants should have an advanced degree, with classroom and administrative experience. High capacity in leadership, organization, communication, curriculum development/implementation, and team-building are essential qualifications for this work. This position requires strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, administration, and parents to support the student experience.
