Ramp Agent at LRD Airport

G2 Secure Staff is expanding and looking to add to the Ramp Agent operations in Laredo International Airport (LRD)

Title: Ramp Agent

Pay Rate: 11.00 per hour

Shift: All

Flight privileges available

The Ramp Agent provides ground support for inbound and outbound aircraft, including baggage handling, mail and freight handling, aircraft servicing, driving motorized equipment, and cleaning aircraft interiors. Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS).

What does a Ramp Agent do?

· Handling and caring for passenger baggage. Loading, unloading, transportation to and from various locations of the airport

· Handling and care of U.S. Mail, freight, and express parcels. Loading, unloading, transportation to and from various locations of the airport

· The customer and G2 specification must accomplish all ground handling

· Pushing or towing aircraft to and from designated locations in the airport

· Provide technical guidance, interpret policies and procedures, and assist front-line employees in performing functional tasks

· Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.

· Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities

· Miscellaneous duties as assigned

What skills are required to Join the Team?

• Must be 18 years or older
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
• Must meet all requirements to obtain an airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable), including successfully completing a background check and ten-year work history.
• Must have a reliable mode of communication and transportation

Language Skills:

· Ability to communicate effectively in the English language

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and procedure manuals, and employee handbooks

· Ability to effectively present information, including in written form, and respond to questions from passengers, managers, clients, customers, and the public

· Must also possess and utilize effective listening skills
