Position Objectives:
Operate and assist in maintenance of plant and dredge at sand plant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Adhere to and follow all safety rules and regulations of OSHA/MSHA and Jarco Aggregates
- Conduct daily safety assignments such as area inspections, pre-shifts, JSA’s
- Ensure a safe work environment by overseeing compliance with all safety policies; conducting toolbox talks ensuring team members have the appropriate tools and equipment.
- Communicate regularly with plant /dredge to ensure all processes are proceeding according to appropriate standards.
- Proper and safe start up and shut down of plant/dredge.
- Monitoring operation of plant/dredge, making necessary adjustments and maintenance on plant/dredge, including oil levels and grease dredge.
- Responsible for daily production reports.
- Dependable, regular, and prompt attendance.
- Demonstrate friendly and business-like attitude towards vendors, customers, truck drivers, fellow team members, and supervisors.
- Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
- Cleanliness of workspace & general housekeeping duties for the facility
- Perform any other tasks and duties as requested, directed, or assigned to support and improve the overall team operations.

Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2 Years of experience operating heavy equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Heavy lifting required, lift up to 35 lbs. +
- Must be able to work in severe weather conditions, both heat and cold.
- Must be able to stand / sit 8-15 hours per day.
- Regularly required to sit, climb, stand, bend, squat, reach, and move as part of normal work activities.
Work Environment:
- Location of position: Odem
- Background checks and drug tests required.
- Maintaining a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
- May be exposed to elements such as weather, noise, dust, odors, fumes, and oils.
- May be subject to sitting/standing for long periods of time to perform job scope.
- May be required to work hours other than the regular schedule.
