Job Description:

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician ensures the smooth operation of the manufacturing facilities. The primary responsibilities are to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain the buildings ,machinery and equipment .

Responsibilities:

  1. Collaborate with EH&S and interdepartmentally to constantly implement Safety Improvement Solutions throughout the facility.
  2. Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks on buildings, production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of equipment, identify potential issues, and recommend repairs or replacements as needed.
  4. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions.
  5. Carry out repairs and adjustments on machines, including replacing faulty parts, calibrating instruments, and restoring functionality.
  6. Collaborate with production operators and other team members to address equipment-related concerns and provide technical support.
  7. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment maintenance logs, and inventory management.
  8. Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for the procurement of spare parts and specialized equipment.
  9. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies related to manufacturing maintenance.
  10. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
  11. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
  12. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required ; technical certification or relevant vocational training is highly desirable,

- Five plus years of proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing environment.

- Basic project/tasks management skills

- Cost conscious with a buy vs. repair analysis mindset

- Ability to demonstrate a strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.

- Skilled in using hand and power tools for repairs and adjustments.

- Basic computer skills required. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems is preferred.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent problem-solving skills.

- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and provide clear instructions.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

-Ability to lift 25 lbs., climb, bend, stand, walk repetitively throughout the day

-Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime, as required.
