Compliance and BSA Officer - Full-time

Central State Bank has an immediate opening for a Compliance and BSA Officer at our Cedar Rapids location.

Our Compliance and BSA Officer is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state banking regulations. The Compliance and BSA Officer assists the COO/CRO with the administration and oversight of an effective Compliance Program that is in line with regulatory requirements, guidance, expectations, and industry best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

· Identify areas of necessary improvements and assist with the formulation of methods and internal controls to strengthen the Bank's compliance posture, while supporting internal staff and customer service goals.

· Stay abreast of and analyze developing industry and compliance trends, as well as changes to laws and regulations. Advise the COO/CRO and the Internal Controls & Compliance Committee of emerging risks, new and amended laws, regulations, or agency guidance.

· Perform compliance reviews of transactions, documentation, procedures, and policies, and monitor daily operating activities as needed.

· Participate in the risk assessment process throughout the Bank.

· Develop and maintain all aspects of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Compliance Program.

· Assist in the administration of independent audits and state and federal examinations.

· Provide staff training and guidance on compliance and BSA topics.

· Over 3 years of experience in regulatory consumer compliance.

· Knowledge of BSA, AML, OFAC and related regulatory compliance standards.

· Ability to interpret and apply state and federal banking regulations and guidelines.

· Accuracy and attention to detail required.

· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

· Ability to take direction and instruction and follow through independently.
