CAD Drafter II

United is currently seeking a CAD Drafter to join our team at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant in Glen Rose, TX. The successful candidate will be working as part of a team of engineers and designers at the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant and will function as a Drafter working on drafting and design assignments of intermediate complexity using CAD design tools.

What you'll be doing:

·   The successful candidate will work with our experienced design team to complete drafting and design assignments of intermediate complexity using CAD design tools. Assignments may include:

o   Create Piping and Instrument Diagrams.

o   Create a 2D and/or 3D representation of piping systems and equipment using Bentley’s MicroStation software.

o   Generate piping isometric and piping orthographic drawings.

·    The successful candidate will interact with other disciplines and project support groups as appropriate on assigned projects.

·    The successful candidate will prepare drawings using project specifications, written and verbal instructions in accordance with United Engineers & Constructors established design practices, standards, and procedures.

What we're looking for in you:

·    BA/BS plus 1-2 years of relevant experience or AA/AS plus 2 years of relevant experience OR HS diploma / GED plus 4 years of relevant experience.

·    Intermediate level experience with 2D and 3D plant design.

·    The successful candidate must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident of the United States.

·    Must be able to obtain unescorted access to a Nuclear Power Plant.

·    Minimum one (1) year experience with Bentley MicroStation.

Preferred Qualifications:

·    Experience with commercial nuclear power plants design modification is strongly preferred.

·    Direct experience at the Comanche Peak site is strongly preferred.

·    Experience with multiple disciplines including mechanical, electrical, and Instrumentation & Controls design.
