BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Set the tone and, with guidance from the Teen Program Coordinator, guide a group of teen Leadership Trainee interns on a journey of self-exploration, challenge, and fun for 11 days at a time.  (3 standard sessions are 11 days each. We also have shorter sessions like Teen Camp and Family Camp.)

  • Provide active supervision and attention to ensure interns are encouraged, safe, active, accepted, well-rested and generally cared for.
  • You will coach teens in maintaining a strong work ethic and serving as a positive role model to younger campers and their peers.
  • Take LT interns offsite to perform community service somewhere in the Boscobel area, which is followed by meals, shopping, and a teambuilding activity outside of camp. The LT Counselors will work alongside the LT interns in their community service tasks.
  • All meals are provided during camp sessions. LTs and LT staff are expected to attend meals with the rest of camp and eat the food provided as role models for the younger campers.
  • We have high expectations set for our LTs. You are responsible for holding them accountable to meeting those expectations.
