MANUFACTURING MACHINE Mechanical Maintenance Technician

Taylor Staffing is looking for a mechanical maintenance tech in Shawnee! Must be willing to undergo a background check, drug screen, and physical prior to employment. This position is for someone with experience in MACHINE MAINTENANCE in a manufacturing environment.

Perform mechanical maintenance repair work, troubleshooting routines, and preventive maintenance on all production lines and support equipment. Direct and train other maintenance personnel in the above task areas.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Determine the cause of mechanical breakdowns on manufacturing equipment and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time
• Maintain required logs, time sheets, blueprints, and other documents used in performing maintenance functions
• Effectively operate a wide variety of common hand tools and all shop machines (including welders)
• Perform all tasks within established safety procedures and maintain cleanliness and condition of tools used, shop floor, and production line areas worked
• Perform diversified plumbing and pipe fitting work on a variety of industrial piping systems
• Perform building maintenance by repairing damaged structures or any mechanically related building repairs
• Performs other assigned duties as required

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• 2 1/2 - 5 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance repair work, preferably within a manufacturing environment

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• The position requires daily climbing, lifting, stooping and reaching with agility and dexterity required.
