Job Description

Busy cardiology practice has a need for Echo Technician ARDMS or CCI required. The ideal candidate will independently perform complete echocardiogram and stress echocardiogram according to iCal standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac diagnostic tests using sonography equipment.
  • Operate and maintain equipment in accordance with established protocols and safety guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, ensuring aseptic technique is followed.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history, including vital signs and relevant symptoms. Analyze and interpret test results, providing accurate and timely diagnostic evaluations.
  • Collaborate with physicians to develop treatment plans based on test findings.
  • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.

Experience:

  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and cardiac catheterization procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of echocardiography techniques and equipment operation.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • *ARDMS or CCI certification (Adult Echo) - required * At least 3 years of Adult Echo experience - required * BCLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross - required * Ability to scan in appropriate fashion, depicting all views of areas consistent with appropriate diagnostic requirements for appropriate age of patient * Ability to push heavy equipment to do portable studies · Ability to detect lethal diagnostic information that should be considered emergent and communicate with the appropriate entities.
