Acara Solutions is looking for a Swiss Machinist (3rd shift) for our medical device manufacturing client in Wheeling, IL

Hours
- 10pm
-6am 10% shift differential
Work Environment
  • Climate Controlled Facility
  • Clean & Comfortable Setting
Position Summary:
  • Swiss Machinists are responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining CNC or Swiss equipment to fabricate Swiss production parts that meet or exceed expectations for product quality and production rates.
  • Additional responsibilities include making adjustments and monitoring assigned equipment to ensure dimensional part integrity, troubleshooting and correcting problems, deburr/buff/sand parts to meet print specifications, inspect parts visually and dimensionally using basic inspection equipment and techniques, and perform preventative machine maintenance as required.
Job :
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years machine shop experience in all phases of machining, including two years of CNC or Swiss experience.
  • Ability to read, interpret and understand blueprints and experience working with small precision parts to close tolerances required

  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as basic knowledge of lean manufacturing.
