Description

The Leidos National Security Sector has a career opportunity for a Security Specialist in Honolulu, HI, providing security administrative and operational support to PACAF Special Security Office at PACAF Headquarters, JBPHH. This individual assists the PACAF SSO with the protection of sensitive or classified information, personnel, facilities, installations, or other sensitive materials, resources, or processes against criminal, terrorist, or hostile intelligence activities.  You will assist in the development of security policies and design, develop, evaluate, and sometimes install protection systems and devices to insure that sensitive information, equipment, and other material is not compromised, sabotaged, stolen, misused, or subjected to terrorist, malicious mischief, or other acts of willful interference.  You will conduct site surveys of proposed SCIF spaces and make recommendations to reduce threats to SCI.  You will assist with the development and review of Construction Security Plans (CSP) and Modification Security Plans (MSP) for the construction new or renovation of existing SCIFs.  You will review Fixed Facility Checklists (FFC) and TEMPEST Forms for all PACAF SCIFs theater-wide prior to submission to DIA for adjudication.  You will review requests for equipment entry into existing SCIFs and make recommendations to the PACAF SSO. Candidate will also be required to participate in annual Program Compliance Review (PCR) inspections of subordinate units through the lens of physical security.  Provide physical security training/updates to PACAF subordinate unit SSOs. This position requires knowledge and understanding of DoD/AF security practices and procedures.  This is an exciting opportunity to support our nation’s Air Force Headquarters of the Pacific.

Primary Responsibilities

 - Oversee access integration with USINDOPACOM for Badge Reciprocity

 - Provide administrative support for the entirety of the PACAF SCI Physical Security Program.

 - The individual will be in support of the PACAF SSO team and provide SCI access control support for all PACAF SCIF

 - Responsible for assisting in the enforcement of SCIF access control requirements

 - Coordinate escorts as necessary, conduct regular security audits & inspections

Basic Qualifications

-  TS/SCI Clearance required on day one

-  Bachelors and 8+ years of experience in DoD related security activities and familiarity with the military environment

-  Additional years of experience will be accepted in lieu of degree.

-  Strong background in executing security responsibilities

-  Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, be customer service oriented and possess demonstrated analytical, troubleshooting, organizational and management skills

-  In depth knowledge and understanding of ICD 705

-  In depth knowledge and understanding of DoDM 5105.21, vol 2

-  Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of applications

-  Experience working with DIA for SCIF authorization

Preferred Qualifications

Pay Range:Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00
