Chemical Operator
Responsibilities:
. OT available
· Transloading -loading into tanks, railcars, and trucks.
· Tank, Truck, and Railcar blending.
· Tote / drum filling and handling along with proper labeling and preparation.
· Ability to comprehend and follow blend sheets.
· Accurately calculates tank, railcar, and truck loading calibrations.
· Correctly obtain samples before unloading and loading trucks, tanks, rail cars and ISO containers.
· Correctly label all samples and turn them into the lab for QC before any transloads.
· Assist operators to physically complete orders and paperwork.
· Have knowledge of inventory, customers, pumps, and pipelines.
· Monitor daily calibration of meters and scales used for operations.
· Communicate with maintenance and management on any issues that occurred during shift.
· Identify improvement opportunities for efficiency.
· Monitor equipment.
· Must be able to perform manual tank gauging on all chemical storage tanks.
· Communicate with team on daily targets and responsibilities.
· Communicate with supervisors and leads when issues arise (not to limit personnel, attendance, inventory, production, orders, customers, etc.)
· Work with HSE to improve safety standards throughout the plant.
· Report accidents, safety violations, or other concerns related to operations.
· Consistently promote high standards through personal example so that each team member understands the expected standards and behaviors.
· Meeting physical requirements of the position, including walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods, lifting heavy objects, climbing, crouching, operating tools, and wearing safety gear (PPE)
· Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent.
· 1-2 years of chemical operations experience.
· Hazwoper Training/ Basic Plus
· Safety oriented/general knowledge
· Understanding of chemical and petroleum processes.
· Familiarity with hoses, fittings, and pumps used at the plant.
· Familiarity with chemical operations equipment terminology.
· Forklift certified (to include loading and unloading flat beds and box trailers)
· Aptitude for mechanics.
· Basic Math Skills.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality in a fast paced physically demanding environment.
· Willingness to comply with safety and quality standards including wearing protective gear when necessary.
· Ability to lift 50lbs or more.
· Ability to climb.
