Electrical Engineer, Junior

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Secret clearance (must be eligible for Top Secret clearance)
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline
• 2 -5 years of experience in engineering design and analysis
• Test experience with antennas, amplifiers, and receivers
• System level and Subassembly design and parts selection
• Proficiency with RF test equipment, Network Analyzers, Spectrum Analyzers, and Frequency Generators

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic
• Experience with DoD C4ISR systems
• Experience with Mil-Spec interconnects and cables
• Mechanical design and understanding
• Interconnect design and selection of COTS and Mil-Spec components.
• Understanding of, and experience with, Military Specifications (Mil-Spec) standards and DOD drawing packages

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designs and sustains Information Warfare Systems for Department of Defense (DOD) customers
• Participates in engineering efforts of design and from system level integration of commercial off the shelf (COTS) systems and components
• Works with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers and drafters to create hardware and/or software solutions and drawing packages; this includes research, component selection, design, and testing, and working with a design team and production facility to design, build, test, and document design efforts
• Researches, develops, documents, and recommends solutions or improvements for technical engineering problems of moderate scope
• Interprets data and verifies product documentation, designs, layouts, or drawings for adequacy and accuracy
• Researches and prepares draft and/or finished engineering presentations, reports, process studies, or technical information used for program reviews, design reviews, and proposal activities
• Initiates, develops, and maintains active interfaces and coordination/exchange of technical information among multi-disciplined engineering groups, subcontractors, and/or the customer
• Analyzes, develops, and maintains technical databases and supportive engineering systems
