Electrical Engineer, Journeyman

MINIMUM SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

DESIRED SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with Research and Development (R&D) Pipelines (identification, evaluation, integration, testing)
• Experience researching, identifying, and transitioning innovative technologies
• Familiarity with System Requirements and Key Performance Points Analysis
• Experience providing transition support for innovative systems and technology
• Experience in Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Analysis

FILLING THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON FUNDING

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identifies, defines, analyzes, and generates complex specifications for test conduction, coordination of systems and analyses, proposal submittal, and performance of applied research and development
• Develops, documents, and implements solutions to complex technical problems associated with the analysis, design, development, operation, and/or modification of engineering products and services
• Researches, analyzes, and conducts equipment (hardware/software) design and development, system analyses, process studies, and research investigations for complex technical problems
• Establishes, develops, and maintains an effective working interface and coordination/exchange of technical information among multi-disciplined engineering groups, subcontractors, and/or the customer
• Researches, prepares, and delivers complex technical presentations to high level management and/or the customer.
• Defines, designs, and develops system requirements
• Assesses architecture and current hardware limitations
• Defines and designs complex system specifications, input/output processes, and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility
• Coordinates design of subsystems and integration of total system
• Analyzes and resolves difficult and complicated program support deficiencies
• Conducts independent technical investigations of system design
• Coordinates and consolidates design efforts on major projects
• Provides functional and technical guidance to less experienced engineers in all aspects of engineering projects
• Organizes and leads assigned sections of major program reviews, design reviews, and proposals
