The Position

RCL Mechanical is looking for a HVAC Service Technician or Installer that can represent our core values and perform service calls for HVAC services. This individual will be working closely with dispatch and our service manager. The Service Technician is tasked with client satisfaction and efficient field execution on all service calls, having overall responsibility for the success of the call from start to finish. We are looking to deliver the best service and we always strive for a 5-star service rating with all of our customers!


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of HVAC systems to identify issues and malfunctions, using appropriate diagnostic tools, equipment and resources.
  • Perform necessary repairs and maintenance tasks on HVAC equipment, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical components, replacing faulty parts, and ensuring proper system functionality.
  • Implement routine preventative maintenance procedures to prevent breakdowns and extend the lifespan of HVAC equipment.
  • Interact with customers professionally, addressing their questions, concerns, and providing recommendations for optimizing HVAC system performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of service calls, work performed, and parts used. Complete service reports and submit them to the supervisor.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
  • Stay updated on the latest HVAC industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive interactions with customers.
  • Obtain positive Google reviews from satisfied customers, contributing to the company's online reputation.
  • Promote and encourage memberships to the Total Home Care Club to customers.
  • Keep service vehicles clean and organized to reflect a professional image.
  • Additional responsibilities will be undertaken diligently to align with company requirements and job expectations.
  • Availability for rotating schedules, including weekends and off-hours on-call duty, is a mandatory requirement for this position.


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC program or relevant certifications.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and refrigeration units.
  • Familiarity with HVAC control systems and their components.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints.
  • Possess relevant HVAC certifications, such as EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks within deadlines.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.


Schedule: 8 Hour Shift


Job Type: Full-time


Salary: $30 -$50 per hour based on experience
