Job Title: Purchasing Staff

Reports To: Purchasing Manager

Position Purpose: Receives, inspects, stores and maintains all purchases.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Receives and checks supplies into the storeroom as delivered.
2. Obtains supplies from delivery area.
3. Opens packaged goods to inspect condition of contents.
4. Checks goods against invoices noting cuts, size, quality and freshness of meats and vegetables.
5. Stores purchased goods properly.
6. Issues good in accordance with requisitions.
7. Takes inventory as needed. Responsible for physical inventory of food and beverage once a month and updating all prices.
8. Keeps walk-in, freezer and storeroom organized and clean.
9. Keeps records of food coming in and going out and rotates supplies.
10. Performs any and all tasks assigned by supervisor.

Education and Work Experience Qualifications

Excellent English oral and written communication skills required. Prior experience with food products a plus. Must have excellent computer skills with Word, and Excel, be physically able to lift heavy items, and have a keen eye for quality.
