Core Crew Production 3rd Shift (Multiple Positions)

Candle-lite Company is America's Original Candle Company and has been crafting candles in Ohio's heartland for over 180 years. We are now hiring and would like for you to be a part of this great heritage. The company runs on the following shifts:

1st Shift - 6:00am - 2:00pm; Monday - Friday; $15.44/hr

2nd Shift - 2:00pm - 10:00pm; Monday - Friday; $15.44 + $.75 shift differential

3rd Shift - 10:00pm - 6:00am; Sunday - Thursday; $15.44 + $.50 shift differential

Reliever positions are also available for each shift. These schedules are as follows:

1st shift reliever - 8:00am - 1:00pm

2nd shift reliever - 4:00pm - 9:00pm

3rd shift reliever - 11:45am - 4:45am

*Employees will top out at $17.67 in seven (7) months + respective shift differentials where applicable.

SUMMARY:

To perform a variety of routine tasks, manual in scope, highly repetitive, both machine paced and non-machine paced, that are required with the movement of products through manufacturing and/or processing operations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Standing and/or walking 100%, sitting 0%.
• Stand in/at assigned work station, turn repetitively to/from pallet boxes, powered feed conveyors, or other in-process product supply sources, continually reaching, grasping, transporting, guiding, placing, releasing candles.
• Task activity level generally paced to speed of machinery and/or production line.
• Climb steps to/from work station, where required.
• Pushing, pulling packed cases of products on gravity/powered conveyors, with frequent lifting of filled/sealed cases of packed candles from feed conveyors to/onto palletized unit load, as required.
• Continual mental concentration to insure quality products are packed, rejects are disposed of properly.
• Must be able to stand on a concrete floor for the entire shift; lift 30 pounds without assistance and 75 pounds with assistance; have precise coordinated movements of the fingers of both hands to grasp and manipulate small objects; make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists; have the ability to bend, stoop, stretch, twist.
• Must be able to reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs; have the ability to match or detect differences between colors, including shades of color and brightness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must have six months work experience in a fast paced environment
• The ability to work any 8 hour shift up to 5 days a week as needed
• The mental ability to pay close attention to details
• The ability to move quickly to respond to situations
• Be a forward thinking individual
• The ability to anticipate rather than react.
• Prefer a high school diploma or GED.
