JOB SUMMARY:
Provide routine primary health care for patients of all ages. Provider must possess knowledge of patient care modalities for infants, children, adults and geriatrics.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and can identify patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs.
  • Obtain appropriate medical history and physical data on all patients.
  • Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
  • Performs an appropriate physical exam and records findings. Collaborates with other physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
  • Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
  • Analysis of data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention.
  • Administers medications and injections per state licensing guidelines.
  • Interviews and advises patients on issues of health maintenance, and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
  • Maintains and reviews patients' records, charts and other pertinent information.
  • Manages medical and surgical emergencies.
  • Possesses knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement principles and supports the hospital's philosophy of performance improvement. Participates on Quality Action Teams.
  • Participates in the development and review of Clinic's policies and procedures.
  • Must have the ability to interact positively with Administration, directors, managers, supervisors, peers, co-workers, subordinates, patients and visitors.
  • Must meet regular attendance standard and must stay at or below average sick leave utilization levels.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings. Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.

UNIT MANAGEMENT:
  • Maintains patient confidentiality
  • Follows all Hospital District policies and procedures.
  • Attends mandatory Hospital District sponsored in-service and education programs, annually.
  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Current Washington State Physician and Surgeon's License.
  • Knowledge and Abilities to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions; to
  • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.
  • The ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, to perform the four operations with like ot common decimal fractions; to compute
  • Ratio, rate and percent; to draw and interpret bar graphs; to perform arithmetic operations involving all America monetary units.
  • Ability to read literature, charts, medical records, prescriptions, scientific and technical journals and business correspondence.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION:
  • Physical Expectations: All Employees, will from time to time, will be required to bend, carry, climb, ( i.e. Stairs) lift, push, reach, and stoop during the normal functions of completing the duties of specific jobs.
  • If, for any reason, physical expectations cannot be completed, as far as feasible and possible.
