Sanitation – 3rd Shift
DIRECT HIRE opportunity at a leading cheese manufacturer in Monticello! The Sanitation worker is responsible for performing routine cleaning on production equipment and overall facility cleanliness. The Sanitation worker will use different types of chemicals and sanitation equipment. The Sanitation worker requires strict adherence to GMPs, sanitation, safety, timekeeping, and personal conduct rules.
Hours: 4pm to 4am
Pay: $19.40/hour +$2.00 premium shift for 3rd shift
+$1.00 for hours worked between 5pm - 10pm
+$2.00 for hours worked between 10pm – 5am
Sanitation Responsibilities:
- Certify for and operate forklift, pallet jack and walkie forklift in tight places
- Conduct CIP and COP tank verification (i.e. chemical concentrations, flow, time, and temperature)
- Communicate any food safety related issues to supervisor or managers
- Observe facility and equipment conditions to ensure in good condition and in compliance
- Perform and follow SSOPs on production tool and equipment
- Document sanitation and production checks
- Follow proper GMPs, PPEs and chemical handling practices
- Tear down production equipment for cleaning throughout facility
- Use foaming equipment and scrub facility equipment
- Understand chemical usages and purposes
- Verify equipment cleanliness after cleaning practices
- Follow facility color coding program to cleaning methods
- Complete Master Sanitation schedules on a timely matter
Sanitation Requirements:
- Possess strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pay close attention to details
- Capable of following directions given, consistency is crucial to the position
- Must have proficient manual dexterity to perform routine functions
- Sanitation experience in a food production environment
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Frequent bending, occasional reaching, kneeling, and squatting
- Able to lift/carry up to 40lbs; able to push/pull up to 60lbs.
