When: We are looking for CPAs with 4+ years of audit experience.

Who are we: CPA firm, based in Des Moines, with a large concentration of agricultural cooperatives and related agricultural entities. Our clients are located in 7 Midwest states and California. A number of our clients are among the largest and most progressive in the Midwest. www.gardinercpa.com

Why we do what we do: We take great pride in serving our farming related clients and have been doing so since 1964. In fact, we have client relationships that go back all 59+ years! We love working with farmers and businesses that help to feed America.

What else do we do: We also provide audit and tax services to a number of credit unions, primarily in Iowa, local Iowa governmental entities, various non-profit organizations and employee benefit plans. Because of our concentrations in these few industries,

How do we do it: Providing audit services means we were historically onsite at the client's business. We have been able to shift significant portions of our audit work remotely (even - ATAWW: Any Time Any Where Work). The typical audit lasts one week, allowing you to work with many clients during the year. Our travel demands range from 5% to 15%, which can vary by office. We continue to evaluate the necessity and extent of some travel. We continue to see our percentage of travel to diminish.

What are we looking for: Individuals interested in continuing their auditing career and seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity in public accounting. Staff members who are great with computers and have a thorough working knowledge of Excel and Word. Looking for individuals with a positive attitude, friendly and outgoing personality, and the ability to sense humor. We like to have fun while we work and want to make sure you would feel comfortable as a member of our team.

What more can we tell you: We conduct our audits using "paperless" audit software in a cloud-based environment. Additionally, we have just started to use artificial intelligence (AI) in our audit process; which brings an exciting change to the audit process. So, we need staff members who are great with computers and have a thorough working knowledge of Excel and Word.
