As a key member of our EHS Department, the Regional EHS Manager will work closely with our manufacturing sites on an array of EHS issues to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with federal, state and local regulations. As the liaison between Corporate EHS and our manufacturing locations, your responsibilities will include:
 

  • Monitor and co-ordinate plant EHS permitting and legal compliance.  
  • Ensuring facility compliance with the Corporate EHS standards and with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct annual EHS audits and provide support and direction for corrective action.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance to Corporate, Divisions, and Plants..
  • Manage and organize network meetings and best practice development and sharing.
  • Conduct investigations into injuries, incidents, chemical releases, and complaints. 
  • Advise and support plants when contacting external bodies and authorities.
  • Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and programs to minimize risk
  • Network with other Regional EHS Managers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field or equivalent work experience. C.E.P designation a plus.
  • 5+ years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Good knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations
  • Experience with Title V permitting requirements
  • Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access and Lotus Notes
  • Proven Project Management skills 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and with a team

 
The position will be responsible for multiple locations and will require approximately 50% overnight travel.
