As a key member of our EHS Department, the Regional EHS Manager will work closely with our manufacturing sites on an array of EHS issues to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with federal, state and local regulations. As the liaison between Corporate EHS and our manufacturing locations, your responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and co-ordinate plant EHS permitting and legal compliance.
- Ensuring facility compliance with the Corporate EHS standards and with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct annual EHS audits and provide support and direction for corrective action.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and guidance to Corporate, Divisions, and Plants..
- Manage and organize network meetings and best practice development and sharing.
- Conduct investigations into injuries, incidents, chemical releases, and complaints.
- Advise and support plants when contacting external bodies and authorities.
- Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures, and programs to minimize risk
- Network with other Regional EHS Managers.
The ideal candidate will possess the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or closely related field or equivalent work experience. C.E.P designation a plus.
- 5+ years EHS experience in a manufacturing environment
- Good knowledge of EPA/OSHA regulations
- Experience with Title V permitting requirements
- Computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Access and Lotus Notes
- Proven Project Management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- The ability to work independently and with a team
The position will be responsible for multiple locations and will require approximately 50% overnight travel.
