Caregiver

Job Summary:
Village Caregiving in Point Pleasant, Applegrove, West Virginia is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to join our team on a Part Time hourly basis. This individual contributor role will involve providing essential care and support to our elderly clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. As a Caregiver, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our clients and their families.

Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks according to individual dietary restrictions
- Monitor clients' health, including vital signs and medication reminders
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dishes, and changing bed linens
- Provide companionship and engage in activities with clients to promote socialization and mental stimulation
- Document and report any changes in clients' physical or cognitive condition to the appropriate supervisor
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of clients and yourself

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role in the healthcare/medical field is preferred
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with elderly clients
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR is a plus
