Job Summary:
The responsibility of the Move-In Coordinator is to coordinate the entire move in process for all residents for Assisted Living and Memory Care; maintain all paperwork associated with each move in; oversee resident/family referral program; ensure all new residents experience an excellent move in process and transition to community life.
Responsibilities will also include oversight of internal resident transfers and residents moving out of the community.
Job Duties:
Essential Functions
GENERAL
· Ensure thorough communication to all pertinent parties utilizing the established Pre-move & Post-move in checklist regarding new move ins. Utilizing the established Status Change Form, initiate appropriate communication to all pertinent parties for an internal resident transfer and all resident move outs.
· Upon receipt of communication from the Sales Director regarding a new move in, coordinate with caret team to obtain required pre-move in paperwork/documentation from prospect/family and medical personnel as necessary.
· Work with prospects and family members to establish move in dates, internal transfer dates and move out dates as applicable.
· Ensure apartment readiness a minimum of 48 hours prior to resident move in date or resident transfer date.
· Work with the Maintenance Team to ensure all designated Rent Ready apartments are appropriately designated.
· Partner with the Life Enrichment Director to coordinate Resident Ambassador assignment for new residents moving in.
· Follow up with new residents and their families at key, post move-in timeframes – weekly for month 1, bi-weekly for month 2, and monthly for months 3-6.
· Will assist with other community projects and assignments as directed by the Executive Director
Educational Requirements
Minimum requirement of high school diploma or equivalent
Experience & Other Requirements:
· Self-motivated, organized and professional. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, problem solving, conflict management
· Have a caring disposition
· Have a neat, professional, courteous manner and appearance
· Detail oriented and ability to multi-task successfully
· Computer proficient skills, excellent verbal and written skills, and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. English language skills adequate to allow communication with residents and staff
Job Specifications:
· Must be at least 18 years of age
· Must have required health screening, TB clearance, COVID vaccination complete, and criminal record clearance
· Knowledge and understanding of the needs of senior citizens and the ability to relate positively and effectively
· Must be able to work well with others, have problem-solving skills
· Valid driver’s license and transportation means for work related projects
· Must be willing, and able, to work required and scheduled shifts, including evenings, weekends overtime and holidays as needed.
