Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. As a CNA, you will provide direct patient care and assist with the daily tasks of residents or patients in a healthcare facility or home setting. Your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest level of comfort, security, and well-being of the individuals under your care. This role requires a strong sense of empathy, patience, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Provide personalized care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
2. Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and grooming.
3. Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
5. Aid in transferring patients to and from beds, wheelchairs, or other mobility devices.
6. Help patients with mobility limitations move around safely and efficiently.
7. Assist with turning and repositioning bedridden patients to prevent pressure ulcers.
8. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
9. Document patient interactions, observations, and care provided accurately and timely.
10. Respond to patients' requests for assistance promptly and with empathy.
11. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during difficult times.
12. Report any changes in patients' conditions to the nurse in charge or healthcare provider.
13. Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, ensuring infection control measures.
14. Follow facility policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
15. Participate in educational and training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Previous experience as a CNA or in a similar role is preferred.
4. Knowledge of basic healthcare procedures and practices.
5. Understanding of infection control measures and safety protocols.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
9. Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others.
10. Physical stamina to perform essential job functions such as lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
11. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is a plus.

Working Conditions:
The role of a CNA requires you to work in a healthcare facility or home care setting. You may be exposed to challenging situations, including dealing with patients who may be in pain or have physical and mental limitations. The work involves standing, lifting, bending, and moving patients, as well as potentially dealing with infectious materials. The job may require working evening, night, weekend shifts, or with rotating schedules. As a CNA, you will collaborate with a healthcare team that includes nurses, doctors, therapists, and other medical professionals.
