Job Description

This position is responsible for communicating with customers in a positive, caring, and timely manner to enhance customer relations while maintaining accurate and efficient processing of all parts transactions. Must demonstrate effective use of influencing and collaborative skills

This position requires a self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented individual with good analytical skills.

Essential Functions:

  • Must have the ability to consistently liaise between the parts and service departments by using excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have leadership skills and be prepared to take charge in the manager’s absence for extended periods.
  • Assists in supervising the activities of Parts Counter Sales Representatives to develop schedules ensures attendance at department meetings and ensures customer satisfaction while adhering to company policy and procedures.
  • Complete all parts transactions for internal/external customers in an accurate, timely, and supportive manner to ensure customer satisfaction, as measured by manager observation and customer feedback surveys. Also to be measured by return rate and achievement of department goals.
  • Participate in all sales programs sponsored by Holt and Caterpillar that promote sales through incentives, and meet or exceed specified objectives as measured by program administrators.
  • Products information systems are kept current and new product information is updated. To be measured by management observation and attendance records at new product update meetings, safety meetings, PSSR travel routine, and in-shop training schedule.
  • Assume turn-in after-hour call-out rotation to assist customers in after-hours call-out needs. To be measured by adherence to set schedule, and call out report provided to management by the answering service, and customer feedback.
  • Must be able to work effectively with customers and staff, which include the willingness to respond to the customers emergency parts needs at anytime
  • Experience with a computerized parts management system is preferred
  • Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required
