As the Sr Accountant at RITALKA, you will assist in the oversight and management of the general accounting functions, included, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and payroll.

What does the Sr Accountant do at RITALKA?

  • Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable
  • Quarterly and year-end financial review activities.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information.
  • Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
  • Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports on schedule.
  • Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.
  • Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Secures financial information by completing data base backups.
  • Work with external accountants to ensure correct and timely reporting.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations; ensures compliance with GAAP principles.
  • Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
  • Support month-end and year-end close process.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What are we looking for in a great candidate?

  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization and with staff at remote locations is essential
  • Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
  • Proficient use of MS Office and financial management software
  • High School Diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MSc/MBA preferred
  • CPA highly desirable, but not required
  • 10+ Years of experience as an accountant in the manufacturing or heavy industry
