What you get to do:

  • Hire, train and manage event services department coordinators including leading weekly Event Services meeting & distributing events once contracted to team based on workload, availability & experience
  • Provide project management of high profile / high volume events including private park buyouts, large scale events, new attraction openings, film shoots and industry functions
  • L iaison between park departments and external clients
  • Lead weekly catering meeting to review BEOs of upcoming events with Culinary team
  • Participate in bi-weekly interdepartmental meeting to ensure topline awareness of all incoming paid events, and any in-park activity that may impact the flawless execution of group's plans
  • Participate in weekly Marketing task force meeting as contributing member of department
  • Perform various pre-event tasks including creating BEO, banquet check, ticket orders, FedEx, event diagramming, and post-event tasks including event recaps and final billing
  • Onsite coordination of events including private park rentals, corporate and school picnics, meetings and dinner parties, from event set-up through breakdown
  • Establish SOPs and event standards to provide highest level of customer satisfaction, helping to ensure retention and growth of business through referrals and repeat client events
  • Deliver post event surveys, and follow up to ensure all departments are receiving feedback on performance
  • Provide support in sales process, as needed (site inspections and FAMs)
  • Proactively monitor competitive venues and catering / event trends to identify opportunities for improvemen t
  • Maintain customer satisfaction to ensure retention and growth of business through referrals and repeat client events
  • Monitor post event survey data providing departmental feedback
  • Support training and mentoring of team ambassadors with Director of Sales
  • Work closely with Sales Team including events , groups and domestic resellers on new projects and planning
