Care-O-World Early Learning Center, Washington is seeking applicants for the following two positions:
- Lead Teachers: must have a 2-year associate’s degree in early childhood (or related field) plus 1-year of verifiable teaching experience in a licensed setting.
- Lead teachers and co-teachers are a teaching TEAM! Together, they are responsible for the learning and development of students in their classroom (planning, implementation, and on-going assessment).
- Teaching teams are responsible for knowing and following all NC-DCDEE policies and guidelines, including sanitation and CACFP regulations.
- Full time staff members work 30-40 hours weekly. Many of our full-time teachers work 4, 10-hour days each week (with one week day off).
Knowledge, abilities, and skills:
- Build solid, communication-based relationships with children, their families, and other staff members.
- Promote literacy throughout the classroom and evidence of learning.
- Mastery of classroom management, excellent communication skills, and a team player.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Knowledge of child development, learning, and behavior.
- Skill in keeping students engaged.
Preferred Qualifications: Certification/Education:
- Degree (AA, BA, MA)
- NC B-K Initial License
- NC Lateral Entry B-K License
- NC Residency B-K License
Experience:
- Licensed Childcare experience Preferred
