We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic and Class A Driver with Light Repair Welding expertise to join our team.

Job Description: As a Mechanic and Class A Driver, you will play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations. Your primary responsibilities will include performing mechanical repairs and maintenance on a variety of heavy equipment, operating Class A vehicles for material delivery, overseeing the organization and maintenance of our yard, and managing the procurement of materials for our projects. Light repair welding skills are also required for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring they are in optimal operating condition.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Operate Class A vehicles to transport materials and heavy equipment to project sites, adhering to all safety regulations and road laws.
  • Manage the organization and cleanliness of the company's yard, including proper storage and maintenance of equipment and materials.
  • Coordinate with project managers to procure materials needed for various projects, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effective purchasing.
  • Conduct light repair welding as necessary for equipment and structural components.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations at all times, promoting a safe working environment.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the company.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Proven experience as a Mechanic, preferably in the construction industry, with expertise in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment.
  • Proficiency in light repair welding.
  • Strong knowledge of machinery and equipment mechanics.
  • Ability to operate and drive Class A vehicles safely and responsibly.
  • Good organizational skills to manage inventory and yard maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and project managers.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
