Job Duties:

• Performing mechanical repairs of medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks
• Perform basic electrical, technical, welding and mechanical repairs
• Road test vehicles when necessary to diagnose malfunctions or to ensure they are properly working
• Inspect, test, and listen to defective equipment using testing equipment such as a laptop, motor analyzers, temperature and pressure gauges
• Identify warranty repairs and document properly on the repair order
• Keep work area clean and safe
• Complete required documentation for work order files and customer billing
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Competencies:

• Knowledge and experience with mechanics or a related field
• Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair medium and heavy-duty vehicles
• Detail oriented
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Ability to read wiring diagrams (preferred)
• Flexibility to meet changing demands

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• 2+ years' experience as a Truck Technician or similar position (preferred)
• Cummins Certified (preferred)
