This position is with an auto wrecking yard that rewards hard work. Though the work environment can be challenging and the hours can be long, the culture here is one that supports each employee like they are family. If you enjoy taking things apart to see how they work, are generally handy with cars/trucks, motorcycles AND you are a hard worker - then the Automotive Parts Puller job will be a good fit for you! The basics of the job are to remove a variety of parts from damaged vehicles and prepare them for resale.

Those who are really good at the basic aspects of the job will be given more compensation, responsibility, and variety of tasks.

Essential Job Duties

• Work safely in a wrecking yard environment
• Follow written instruction to identify the appropriate year, make, model, location of each vehicle
• Use a variety of hand and power tools to remove car parts without damaging them (or yourself!!!)
• Must have proper lifting technique

Work Environment

• Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions
• Periodic exposure to minimal chemical hazards

Physical Requirements

• You have to be tough (must lift up to 75 lbs on occasion) and carry up to 50 lbs frequently
• Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, somersaults consistently throughout the day (JK on the somersaults)
• Must have full movement of arms and legs for 8+ hrs/day

Prior Experience

• If you are good with cars, hard working, and reliable - then your previous job titles don't matter. That said, anyone with mechanical background is strongly encouraged to apply.

Starting Rate:$16.50+/hr
