Job Description

Join this dynamic team as either a Family Nurse Practitioner, Womens Health Nurse Practitioner or and Acute Care/ Adult Nurse Practitioner. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive acute, chronic, and family practice medical care in our clinic settings under the supervision of our Clinic Medical Director or staff physicians. You'll collaborate closely with the Medical Director to develop and evaluate medical care policies and procedures.

As a valued member of our team, you will also supervise healthcare professionals and handle various responsibilities, including walk-in patients, physical examinations, workers compensation, and pain management.


Minimum Qualifications:

A. Education

  • Completion of an accredited Physicians Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner program.


B. Experience

  • Level I: New graduate or less than two years of experience in an acute care setting.
  • Level II: Minimum of two years of experience in a medical setting, including at least one year in a family practice clinic.


C. Licensure/Certifications/Registrations

  1. Current valid California Physicians Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner license, or an Interim Permit.
  2. Valid Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider certification.
  3. ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within 6 months.


D. Essential Skills

  • Strong administrative and procedural decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in medical examinations and standard medical procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge in various medical domains.
  • Exceptional communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to supervise and train staff effectively.

IV. HIPAA IS Security Level, and PHI Access Level:

Designated Security Level 2 with clinician-level access to Patient Health Information.


V. Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations and treatment functions, including detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
  • Effective delegation and coordination of workload.
  • Adherence to Infection Control and Quality Assurance standards.
  • Utilization of interpersonal skills to build cooperative relationships and maintain professional conduct.
  • Strict adherence to District and Clinic policies and procedures.
