Direct Support Professional (DSP)

What do you get to do as a DSP? DSPs provide direct support to individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities. You are instrumental in helping these individuals reach their goals. You will grocery shop, assist with community activities such as concerts, worship, doctor appointments, going out to eat, haircuts, sporting events, help with cleaning and cooking in the home, and assist with other needs such as hygiene, vacation planning, and helping folks become more independent in daily living.

What do we need from you?

First off, this is not a M-F, 9-5 type of job. Most individuals we provide services for attend adult day services, so we are in need of people with the ability to work second or third shifts, and weekends.

• You need to be 18
  
• Have a GED or Diploma, or official transcripts
  
• A driver’s license or picture ID. (People who don’t have a license will most likely have to work third shift)
