Welding Manufacture Engineer

Summary: Seeking a Weld Manufacturing Engineer with experience in robotic welding, project management, and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.

• Experience working in a welding environment; robotic welding knowledge preferred.

• Proficiency in Creo with at least 1 year of experience.

• Knowledge of weld processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities.

• Understanding of capital budgeting and equipment justification.

• Experience in project management for strategic or large tactical projects.

• Familiarity with repetitive manufacturing environments.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience programming and troubleshooting robotic welding systems; training provided if necessary.

• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing & Quality Production System principles.

Responsibilities:

• Lead team studies to improve capacity, productivity, and efficiency.

• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement projects focusing on cost reduction, quality improvement, safety enhancement, and product delivery optimization.

• Establish part routings, operating methods, mechanical data sheets, sequence of events layouts, tool conception/designs, part/equipment costs analysis, quality plans and labor standards.

• Program and troubleshoot robotic welding systems as needed.

Note: This role involves spending approximately 75% of the time on the shop floor and 25% at a desk. Candidates with weld engineering/programming experience will be given priority consideration.

 

 

 

 

Pay Details: $34.00 to $45.00 per hour
