We are seeking a skilled Aircraft Systems Technician to join our team in Plainview, TX. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for producing components for Chinook aircraft kits and assembling Chinook aircraft. We work primarily on smaller and less complex aircraft, and the emphasis of this role will be on production and assembly. Experience with CNC Routers and 3D printing is a big plus.

Essential Functions:

  • Produce components for Chinook aircraft kits according to engineering specifications and quality standards.
  • Assemble Chinook aircraft using provided kits and components, ensuring precise fit and functionality.
  • Understanding of CAD and CAM software as it relates to CNC (highly desired)
  • Knowledge of 3D printing Software (highly desired)
  • Collaborate with team members to identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests on assembled aircraft to verify compliance with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Document production and assembly activities accurately and thoroughly in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes relevant to aircraft production and assembly.

Competencies:

  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate is desired but not a requirement.
  • Light Sport Repairman Maintenance certificate or any form of aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Experience working as an A&P mechanic or aircraft systems technician. (desired)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision tools and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and production schedules.
