HydraFab, a Singer Industrial company, is looking for a Hydraulic Mechanic. Singer Industrial is one of America’s largest Industrial Distributors with a North American footprint of approximately 100 locations and over 1,400 employees. The Hydraulic Mechanic is responsible for evaluating and repairing hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves. Preferred applicants will have previous experience working as a hydraulic mechanic in a repair shop environment. Consideration will also be given to those with auto mechanic experience.

Responsibilities

• Tear down, inspect, and diagnose defects on hydraulic pumps, motors, cylinders, and valves.
• Re-building pumps, motors, valves, cylinders, to required standards.
• Testing and Troubleshooting
• Commitment to excellence in repairs
• Welding
• Process Improvement
• Provide seamless customer service.
• Responsible for quality control of various activities
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Professional communication

Requirements:

• Competent mechanical skills and ability to learn new concepts.
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics.
• Positive can-do attitude.
• Experience in open and closed loop hydraulic systems.
• Experience with hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, and cylinder rebuilding.
• Welding knowledge
• Skills in using heavy equipment and power tools.

Educational Requirements of a Hydraulic Mechanic

• High school graduate (required)
• College Diploma preferred.
• MSHA 5023 preferred
