General Manager & Event Coordinator

Cartside Food Carts & Taphouse are looking for a General Manager & Event Coordinator to oversee our facility and take our business to the next level. We are a food cart pod near the Moda Center featuring seven food carts, a full bar, and an event space available for private rentals. Cartside Taphouse is the cornerstone of the pod, offering 25 beer and cider taps plus cocktails, an extensive whiskey list, and cans to go.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the facility and grounds, maintaining impeccable levels of cleanliness throughout
• Working with tradespeople such as plumbers, electricians, etc. to correct issues as needed
• Recruiting food cart tenants, creating leases, and arranging move-ins and move-outs
• Holding tenants accountable to their responsibilities and enforcing rules and regulations as per their leases, including collecting rent
• Maintaining licensing with OLCC and Multnomah County
• Booking, scheduling, hosting, curating, and organizing both public and private events
• Hiring performers such as bands, DJs etc for public events
• Coordinating marketing and event efforts with local businesses, bloggers/advertisers, concert venues, etc.
• Planning and executing marketing initiatives like coupons, discount cards, digital advertising, etc.
• Collaborate with marketing team on social media and graphic design needs
• Collaborate with our partners including the Portland Winterhawks on events and promotions
• Be responsible for all sales calls, emails, and other forms of communication necessary to book and plan events in a timely and consistent manner
• Conducting potential client tours, answering questions, scheduling meetings, and creating and updating contracts
• Reaching out to clients who are interested in renting our event space(s), coordinating all event details, and executing all scheduled events that require hosting and bar service
• Build a catering program to serve our private events
• Collaborate with lead bartender to staff events
• Managing customers and leads in CRM, using tools like marketing email software to close deals
• Making bank runs and cash drops as needed

Requirements:

• Strong background in sales, event management, and/or restaurant management
• Be an expert multitasker with extreme attention to detail
• Strong QuickBooks, Excel, Microsoft Office and computer skills
• Full availability, including evenings and weekends
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
