Position Summary
Develop manufacturing capabilities to include cutting, bending, and machining to produce products that meet customer expectations, quality standards, and on time delivery requirements.
Primary Functions
- Develop and improve manufacturing fabrication processes for current and future production capabilities including capital purchases, process, tooling, fixtures, materials, etc.
- Execute capital, quality improvement, and cost reduction projects in production processes.
- Develop and improve manufacturing machining and paint processes for current and future production capabilities including process, tooling, fixtures, materials, etc.
- Determine machining, paint, and assembly feasibility/manufacturability for new product/orders.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from a four-year college or university
- Five to eight years' experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in an Engineering role.
Skills
- Knowledge of cutting, bending, welding and other industrial fabrication technologies
- Ability to manage capital investment projects.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ability to apply in a low volume/high variability environment.
- Knowledge of standardized processes and ability to apply.
- Knowledge of lean concepts and ability to apply.
- Ability to train others ensuring comprehension of the other party.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Ability to analyze single and multi-variable problems/data, determine a solution and implement.
