Job Title: Special Education Teacher

Location: Knik River, AK

Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of students with special needs? We have just the opportunity for you if so! Soliant is currently seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join our team in Knik River, AK for the 2024-2025 school year. We have multiple full-time, onsitepositions available with a K-12 caseload.

Job Details:

  • Position Type: Full-time
  • Location: Knik River, AK
  • Duration: 2024-2025 school year
  • Caseload: K-12
  • Onsite: This position requires onsite presence.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students with disabilities in various subjects.
  • Adapt and modify curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and services provided.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education and Master's degree in Special Educationrequired
  • Valid Alaska state licensure as a Special Education Teacher
  • Experience with K-12 students preferred
  • Experience working with special needs students preferred
