Job Description
The Yard Manager oversees all yard activities in close collaboration with the Service Manager, ensuring efficient planning and scheduling of tasks such as launching and hauling, boat positioning, and maintenance of waterfront equipment like floats, ramps, moorings, and yard watercraft. They are responsible for maintaining a safe working environment.
Responsibilities:
Supervise all yard activities, coordinating closely with the Service Manager.
Plan and schedule yard tasks including launching, hauling, and boat positioning.
Maintain and repair waterfront equipment such as floats, ramps, moorings, and yard watercraft.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and maintain productivity.
Requirements:
Previous experience in marine-related management is essential.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Ability to relocate to Mount Desert, ME 04660.
