1st Class Structural Welder

Location: Pascagoula, Mississippi

Pay: $28.50 Hourly

GENERAL FUNCTION: Welds together structural metal components as specified by blueprints, work orders, or oral instructions. Shipyard Experience Preferred.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities:

• Utilizes knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and non-metallic materials including the specifications of the particular equipment to be used in the process.

• Must be able to weld butts and bulbs in all positions and pass Ultrasonic (UT) and Magnetic Particle (MT) test methods.
•  
• Tank testing and associated duties as required.

REQUIRMENTS:

• Must have a minimum of 6 months FCAW 3G/4G Structural welding experience; and
• Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on 3G/4G FCAW 3G/4G Structural welding test with the 3G position welded with downhill progression and 4G welded entirely in the overhead position.
• Must successfully pass background check
• Must successfully pass drug screening
