Penmac Staffing is accepting applications for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts a Production Floater for ABB, located in St. Louis, MO.

Starting pay for this position is $19/hour.  Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.

Requirements of the Production Floater:
  1. Must have a year or more as a Press Operator
  2. Ability to understand and follow all ABB safety policies, safety training and hazard communication information. This includes but is not limited to wearing proper personal protective equipment (PPE) such as: safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, cut resistant gloves, and safety sleeves when required.
  3. Ability to lift and or carry up to 50 pounds as well as frequently grip with hands, turn, push, and bend, along with occasional reaching above shoulder level, and pulling.
  4. Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and to keep up with the demanding pace of production.
  5. Possess the dexterity and hand-eye coordination to utilize various hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete a variety of complex tasks. Equipment includes but is not limited to electric chain hoists, pneumatic shears, pneumatic stapler, hydraulic lift tables, electric pallet jacks, manual pallet jacks, and controls with knobs and buttons.
  6. Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions. Ability to read, write, and use a calculator and can read and comprehend work orders, blueprints, and inventory tags.
  7. Ability to do frequent overtime, including overtime on short notice.

Responsibilities of a Production Floater include floating between the following areas:
  1. Cell Operators - run a notching press and OBI and wire the robot cells
  2. Material Handler - stack parts, hang coils, take care of pick n places, fill oil
  3. Wire Bender - bend wires that are used on the press
  4. Annealing Team Member - Load and unload lams in and out of the furnace
  5. Auto Press Helper - wire lams at 17,15 and 12 blankers
  6. Pallet Truck operator
